Bishopthorpe Camera Club – Lecture by Mike Moats: ‘The properly equipped Macro Photographer’ – Tuesday February 16th 2021

Mike Moats is an international award-winning professional macro photographer from Michigan. Mike will share tips, tricks and visions for creating compelling images of the ‘Tiny World’. He will cover the most important equipment for macro photography, how to control depth of field, a little about composition and of course the subject matter. He will show us that it’s not just about the equipment, and that taking great macro images
needn’t be expensive.

Mike is a ‘Tamron Image Master’ and his articles and images have been published in photo magazines for over 15 years. He has an online Macro Photo Club with over 2,000 members from 18 countries and teaches workshops and speaks at photo conferences throughout the US.
