A note from Marilyn Roberts, YPU President –
The results of the PAGB GB Cup and Trophy have now been published, and it’s with much pleasure I and the whole of the YPU Executive Committee congratulate the following YPU clubs for taking part: Doncaster Camera, Ilkley Camera Club, F4 Photographic Group ( this year’s YPU Exhibition hosts), Huddersfield Photo Imaging Club, Kirkbymoorside & District Camera Club, Sheffield Photographic Society.
The GB Cup which is for digital images had 87 clubs across the UK taking part, all 6 clubs had a good result in the Open section with an exceptional position by Doncaster Camera Club coming 8th overall, but not far behind were Ilkley Camera Club at 16th. 5 of the clubs also took part in the Nature section with Doncaster going even higher, being 5th out of 77 clubs.
Lots of celebrations no doubt at Doncaster CC – Congratulations
The GB Trophy which is for prints saw Huddersfield Photo Imaging Club taking part coming 9th out of 24 clubs. Well done HPIC – well done to all our clubs !
Congratulations too to Nick Hodgson of Ilkley Camera Club who came away with an Individual award – A Bronze Medal for his image Man vs Nature in the GB Cup Open.
Roy Packer of Doncaster Camera Club came away with A Judges’ individual Silver Medal Award for his Nature Image ‘Cresty Standoff’ in the GB Cup Nature – Congratulations Roy.
