The YPU Annual General Meeting will take place on Sunday 26th February 2023
Venue: Carleton Community Centre, Carleton Road, Pontefract WF8 3RG

This will also be the Print hand-in day for the 2023 Yorkshire Photographic Union Exhibition.

Nominations for the YPU Executive 2023/24
The election of the YPU Executive will take place at the Annual General Meeting on 26th Feb; the nomination form is shown below
The Executive is looking for the following roles:
1. Member of the YPU Executive
2. Secretary of the YPU Executive
Regarding time commitments, the Executive meets four times each year. Two meetings are by the Zoom system to help with travelling time and costs.
There are also two Club Representative Meetings the first in the autumn via Zoom and the second in the spring which is the Annual General Meeting.

Member of the YPU Executive
This role is to be a full member of the Executive and to lend a hand in the events the YPU organises such as the Exhibition, PAGB events hosted by the YPU and club competitions.
Secretary
The Secretary position is an opportunity to play a significant role in the running of the Yorkshire Photographic Union.
The Secretary is responsible for the organisation of YPU Meetings and the recording of minutes. The holder is in regular contact with all the clubs of the YPU and helps with their queries. The post holder is also a link for the officials of the PAGB.
The new YPU Portal system has reduced the overall workload for the holder as distribution of meeting details etc to clubs is far more straightforward.
I have found the Secretary role very rewarding during the time I have done it and I would be happy to discuss it further with anyone interested.
