Bishopthorpe CC: Britta Jaschinski: ‘The Power of Photography’, Tuesday 2nd November, 7.30 – 9.30pm (Zoom)

Bishopthorpe Camera Club is excited to host Britta Jaschinski: ‘The Power of Photography’ on Tuesday 2 November, 7.30 – 9.30pm via Zoom

Britta is passionate about wildlife and nature conservation. She has been described as one of the most influential photographers of our time and has won numerous international awards including European Wildlife Photographer of the Year, and she is the only photographer to win this twice.

Brita’s work sometimes takes her into perilous undercover situations to document the illegal wildlife trade, and she has been described as “a courageous and inspiring photographer” and “a fighter who uses her camera as a weapon in a battle to reclaim our essential respect for wildlife”.

Britta will be sharing work from her most recent project. Expect images that are graphic and uncompromising yet hauntingly beautiful and inspiring and with a power to influence and lead to change.

Britta normally speaks at large photography events so we are excited and immensely privileged that she has agreed to speak at Bishopthorpe Camera Club.
