Dear Members,
I wrote last August to ask for photographic support for a Yorkshire Dales Dark Skies Festival event, and we were delighted with the response we received. We are now planning our next Dark Skies and night photography event and would love to reach out to your members once again.
We are a holiday accommodation based in the Yorkshire Dales, actively promoting Dark Skies and stargazing in the area. We organise two Dark Skies and night photography events each year, both aimed at encouraging people to experience and appreciate our incredible night skies.
Our next event will take place on Saturday 14th February and is specifically aimed at beginners who are new to night photography. We are located approximately 10 miles from Settle and just 1 mile from Ribblehead.
I wondered if you would be willing to ask your members whether anyone might be able to support this event.
These events are run purely to promote the Dark Skies of the Yorkshire Dales and to help people gain confidence in stargazing and in night photography in a supportive environment.
Additionally, if any club would be interested in holding a future meeting or visit with us, please do let us know — we would be very happy to support and discuss this.
