Judging for both the print and PDI entries took place at Carleton Community Centre, Pontefract over the weekend of 5th/6th March – in fact, the large number of PDI entries meant that much of 7th was required too. The team at Carleton consisted of a mix of YPU Exec members and volunteers from f4 Photographic Group of Hull, the hosts of this year’s Exhibition.
Print judging took place on Saturday and the judges were:

A total of 1018 prints were judged and the awards and category winners were selected. A breakdown of the number of entries in each category for both print and PDI is shown below.
On Sunday the prints to go forward to the PAGB were selected, which was carried out by:

Following this, the PDI judging took place, with 2393 images to view. The judges, operating remotely, were:

This judging had to be extended into Monday to cover all the entries, taking almost the entire day.
The results will now be checked and club statistics compiled before being made available to Club Secretaries via the Competition section of the YPU Portal. Instructions on how to access this will be added to the Documents section in due course.
Publication of the results is expected to take place on the morning of the Annual Assembly, Saturday 7th May.
